I've been eating at Pizzaiolo for almost 15 years. Mostly at the Oakville and Etobicoke locations. I've visited the Georgetown Pizzaiolo 4 times and each time there was a matter which I said to myself no big deal, I'll give them another chance.Well last Friday was the last time I will buy pizza from this location in Georgetown. These are the reasons why:1. Very poor hygiene food handling practices. Drivers come into the pizza prep area and without washing there hands or even taking off their coats they handle pizza's. Like slicing them, touching them in the box, and in some cases even helping make them.2. The pizza making staff don't wear hair nets or appropriate hats. They very rarely wash their hands, and when they do, they just pretend to put their hands under the water for a few seconds. On many occasions I've seen the pizza making staff go downstairs to get empty pizza boxes and then goes right to making pizzas. A quick peak downstairs shows a really nasty environment where they got pizza boxes stacked on a dirty floor. Possibly exposed to mice based on the mouse droppings I saw in the corners of the basement.3. Toppings are very stingy. Hardly no sauce and cheese is literally sprinkles. The pizza is really dry and the overall flavour is terrible when compared to other Pizzaiolo locations (IE. Oakville Etobicoke .4. Disorganized and not that well kept cleanliness. The tables chairs rarely cleaned. Floors always dirty. Staff are shouting over each other goofing around. In fact on the previous occasion I saw one of the girls laughing so hard when she was slicing a pizza on the right counter when facing the cash register, you could see here saliva spouting out of her mouth over the pizza she was slicing.6. Too many drivers entering the food prep area from outside and handing pizza's. None of them exercise proper hygiene practices whatsoever.5. The parking lot location of Pizzaiolo Georgetown is absolutely terrible. My Tesla bottomed out on one of several pot holes in this location's lot. The strip plaza looks really run'ed down, as if it's a commercial slumlord building. This Pizzaiolo location is not only the worst Pizzaiolo location I've experienced in almost 15 years, but the worst pizza of all in Halton Hills area. I don't know how they get away with it, Halton Hills public Health need to do a better job monitoring such poorly operated establishments. And residents must take action with these kinds of places by simply not going there any more. I sure will not ever return !
I cannot believe how much this restaurant has declined in the past few years. Has there been a change in ownership? The staff taking orders are incredibly rude and seem totally disinterested in helping customers. The quality of the food has really suffered lately, I'm not sure what happened because it used to be good a few years ago. I will definitely not be ordering from this place again.
I used to get pizza here all the time as it was one of the better pizza places in town. Over the past few months the quality has really been going down hill. Whether the pizzas aren't topped consisty, the cool is off... Something. I will say hit or miss. The staff seem friendly and the services is good but my most recent visit was wild! I don't know what happened but there was literal debris in my pizza. First found what looked like a bristle from a nylon broom and this morning I heated up the pizza and bit into the crust to find a small pebble that I almost cracked my tooth on?!?! Did someone sweep the floor and start making pizza after?!
Good pie ?Ordered online, picked up was on time delicious and worth the
