The Shovels Inn - Hambleton

I have cleaned my mother for fish and chips today after eating here quite often. it's always a good service, worth and quality, but today all three of us thought it was the best fishing and chips I can remember to have anywhere. I can also recommend the homemade engraving (although not with fish! . thank you, we will come back soon.

Had a lovely meal here yesterday, food was quality the staff were very helpful friendly. Would definitely recommend

Visited the shovels a few time whilst supporting a large group of individuals with learning disabilities could not fault the food or the service we received staff were all super helpful and friendly 'chris ' even came to wish us a happy holiday and a very good night after hes shift had ended ... will definitely be visiting again

Superb pub with great beating and a delicious interesting menu with good choices. also all employees and customers are very dog-friendly (regularly bring dog biscuits or water to their table! deffo one of our regular spruche now, how walter the labradoodle may shorten the 10oz ribeye steak. if i leave

Lovely and cosy place. Had a nice cosy lounge, a seperate restaurant , a small games room, and another modernised lounge area, something for everyone. We felt most welcome (including Jess,our doggie) The staff, although the young lady was on her own, made us feel most welcome and was very attentive. Had a gorgeous meal, loved it, very happy.
