Hummerstand Hanse-Viertel - Hamburg

Eating alone at the bar, I received a very warm welcome from the manager who was quite excited to hear I was from Australia. He chose a sampler of three types of prawns as a starter for me. Very nice. To follow he proposed grilled...king prawns with salad. This was washed down with ample local German white wine. A great lunch and a great chat with a local at the bar about Hamburg.

Here is a seafood bar in the Galleria Hanse Viertel one of many favorite lunch places in Hamburg. Always fresh shrimp lobster salmon etc. in all the varieties. Wine or a glass of Champagne is a must.

We ordered the mixed seafood plate and calamari with wok vegetables. Really tasty and satisfying. Many different taste choices and also awesome service. The waiter was making some jokes in german that i didnt understand but was really nice and spoke also english. Brough us all fast enough and with a smile. All seemes really fresh and the place in nice in the middle of hamburg.

Erstbesuch, empathischer Service, unaufgesetzt, stets offen um zu "snacken", zur Zeit erstklassige, kleine Glückstädter Matjes, Salate perfekt und der Langustenschwanz, von der Größe her, war gut für zwei Portionen. Faire Champagnerpreise.
