The only good thing about the restaurant is nice location and the lady who was serving us!! Otherwise it was really bad! Such a big place with very old furnitures, very bad smell, not all lamps were having bulbs, the floor was looking absolutely old and dirty carpet put on another carpet!! On the table was nothing but a fork, a knife and a napkin. Not even a salt or pepper stand, no decor and not even a candle!! We ordered Naan but got Roti instead. When we ask why is that so, the answer was that Tandoor is in the moment off. But what about informing the guest first about the tandoor being off in the moment?!! Plating was poor and unappetising!! Chicken extremely dry and when we said that its really dry, the lady said I think because its cooked twice. I mean really??????? Never ever again!
We chose this place for our team dinner recently after hearing some decent reviews from couple of guys. It was quite empty probably since it was a Monday. From outside the restaurant is noticeable and looks great because of their big Jaipur logo, it 's good from the inside too, you can clearly feel you are in some Indian restaurant. Since we were in a group, we tried quite a few dishes and I found most were above average. In the starters, I found pakora to be OK but a little bland for my taste although that 's mostly everywhere the same I have seen so far in Germany. The main course dishes we had Malai kofta, chana masala and Daal Makhani. Good thing was that they made it spicy as per our requirement (and not just adding extra red chilli! , the malai kofta was delicious, chana masala was also good but Daal makhani was disappointing, avoid it if you can. Staff and their service was OK, nothing special and no complaints as well. Overall a good Indian restaurant for both kind of taste buds spicy and non spicy ones, as they are able to customise and customise it well without losing the taste of the dish.
This restaurant has a beautiful location, the menu contains all usual suspicious and the staff was friendly and attentive. the food arrived quickly and with the right temperature and all menus are quite cheap. the interieur is equipped with some nice Indian stuff and they play beautiful old Indian music:)
In comparison to other Indian restaurants I have eaten the most delicious food in restaurant jaipur in hamburg. ambiente was good.
