Kofookoo Sushi Grill Bar - Hamburg

It's not 5 star dining, but the service was good and quick, and overall value for money. Food was cooked well, few of the beef dishes we're a little dry

Good concept but half the food was never delivered. Every round at least a fourth was missing. Even asking a waiter did nothing but get a unfulfilled „I‘ll bring it later.“ Repeated asking for it did nothing. Nothing we ordered was „fresh“ in the sense that it had already cooled for a while. The empty plates the food was delivered on kept staking up to up to 10 plates before being taken away. The ice we ordered for dessert while tasty, was also partly molten and there was a piece of plastic in one of them (see picture, broken in two). For the price(30€ per adult), also lied about a day earlier when asking about a reservation (22€ per adult), the food and service were quite bad. Me and my family/friends have eaten in similar restaurants before where so far none have been as bad as this one.

The food was ok, but not expect to get what you see in the menu. Waiters are not friendly and i can‘t find a reason to come here again. Not recommended.

Pretty average overall. There are inconsistencies with the food quality as sometimes I order the sushi and its great (you can never go wrong with salmon) but sometimes I would get nigiri with the rice squashed together like a bullet. I don't expect too much from an all you can eat place. Some things are great like the cooked lamb, salmon nigiri, cooked shrimp and clams but there are some awful thing there too... DO NOT GET: teriyaki salmon (overcooked, and served with a weird sauce which tastes EXACTLY like big mac sauce from mcdonalds) Calamari (ridiculous. it had so many layers of deep fried batter i couldn't find the actual calamari. I couldnt finish it becase 90% of it was just batter) Any Noodle Soup (I was literally served a watered down soup with only 1.5 NOODLE(S). its kinda like eating the leftover bits in someone else's udon) icecream (both the black sesame and matcha were strange didnt taste authentic at all. Black sesame had chunky black seeds like a hamburger bun, and the matcha tasted like a literal perfume) The vibe of the restaurant was interesting. I was questioning whether we were in nightclub, but i wouldnt say that would be bad ahahha I have a theory that there's just one chef letting it down, because half the time it's served ok!

Service staff quickly annoyed if you don't want to join the "enjoy all you can it" nonsense for 24,90 per person: completely overpriced eating in the counter-clock, in addition with compulsive breaks until you can order again and eating criminals of up to 2 euro per tonne, which you can't get completely. relaxed enjoying looks different for us. so we have ordered á la carte not to come as a family at 100 euro (!) for an evening meal. the Japanese mini-foods we ordered about 15 were imaginary, mostly in the same soy sauce, did not always correspond to the pictures and were almost all cold. first came a few teig bags, then a few chicken spits etc. in quite strange order. until the rice came, the spits were already cold, etc. sauces were not extra served or offered. there were only a few soybeans among us to make the dry cold edible. we came to 67 euro with two children and no one was tired or really happy with the food... yesterday we were in the lòsteria am elbufer and paid 56 euro incl. wein and tiramisu and went home happy. the cofookoo with its expensive main street army will not see us again!
