Vapiano Hamburg Kurze Muhren

I have been intrigued by the concept and decided to finally take the plunge whilst on a business trip. It has a good variety on the menu and the concept of “stations” is pretty cool. However, the concept of service and customer is non existent. Having ordered a pizza, I waited over half an hour and when I went to the person making the pizza he simply told me to give a few more minutes. On my third ask he had still not even put the pizza in the oven and was rude and told me he is too busy. Luckily the waiter who had taken the order told me this should have not been the case. Frankly it was not busy and the person who was supposed to make the pizza was just busy chatting to his colleagues and forgot to make the pizza. Worse was to come. The waiter who took my order spoke to the manager who seemed to be totally disinterested in hearing about the issue and gave me the cold shoulder. I paid for my drink and left the restaurant. I have heard from work colleagues that the staff in this branch have a major attitude issue and the concept does not seem to work with constant delays and two orders. They will not be getting my custom. If I could, I would have given a zero star rating.

Ordered Pizza Tonno for lunch. It was rather pricey at 14 Euro for a self service restaurant. They started this fad of making healthy Pizza. Without even asking, they prepared a pizza (oval, as opposed to round) with half oatmeal. The base turned dry and hard within minutes of serving. Toppings were barely there: comprised of fresh out of tin Tuna and white onions: not even sauted. A 10 years old doing school project pizza, can deliver better

Really nice place. Very good food and excellent value. Not familiar with this chain so it was a very pleasant surprise.

Very good pizza. The edge is very thin, not everyone likes it, but I personally love it when the edge is only thin. I also like the seats because you can sit directly opposite and can also sit slightly higher. The vegetables were fresh and the spices were perfectly matched to the mushrooms on my pizza.

Pizza and pasta are freshly prepared in the eyes. The food was delicious every visit. The atmosphere is pleasant, even if usually a lot is going on.
