You are located at the western end of Lake Ontario looking east, you can see Burlington, Bronte, Oakville and on a clear day of CN Tower on Toronto. The menu is Mediterranean, Gyros, Pita, beet salad, Greek salad, hummus, chickenslowaki, and try the Greek frits, frits with olive oil, oregano and many feta, delicious. Our waiter, Andre was excellent.
We were here twice last month. There were six guests both times. The first experience of the service was excellent. The waitress was knowledgeable and attentive. The food was average. We tried two days ago. The waitress was distracted and the food cut. I'd complain if I didn't think the reason was because the staff went for university and the restaurant can handle seasonal work. The problem is that you still pay high prices for food that is average. If you pay a high price, the food should reflect this price in its preparation. I will go back because the locations are so pleasant, but I will only order drinks and appetizers. They will prove that they can improve the quality of cooking before spending $32 for entries.
Your website says Beach Bar is open on weekdays at 5 am to 10 pm and includes a menu. But when asked, they say they don't eat there and don't have half the drinks on the menu. A few times tried and a few days of bar is not open at all. If open employees don't seem to want our patronage or money. At least they could update their website before people drive there.
Was my first time there because of the situation, but will not return. Lunch my friend and I ordered was cold and tasteless, had no taste at all. The side of the frits was a joke came in a not much bigger than a jewlery box... was cold and gumy without spices on the table if you wanted to add taste. Waitress was friendly, but that was a waist of money.
Went to Barangas On the Beach for the first time and we certainly won't be rushing back. The Dolmatas were a complete fail tasteless rice filling, served cold and served with tzatziki rather than the Greek traditional lemon sauce. Had chicken souvlaki which was...just OK, chicken was plentiful, but overcooked and the beet salad was ..... well, I love beets so it was also just OK, but didn't really look very appetizing. The cappuccino was good as was the Aperol Spritz I enjoyed first. Not a great Greek meal! I guess the restaurant is popular because of the location right on the lake, but really, don't waste your money it was all overpriced and overrated.
