Uh oh... This establishment has lost it !!! Very untidy. Food is not what it used to be. Cold fries & needed to be cooked longer. Fish overcooked. Ice Cream was already melting when served, etc...

We got to the restaurant as they were just opening, so did not have to wait in line. The line was getting longer and longer as we ate, and was consistently long by the time we were done our lunch. We had fish and chips...More

Will not come here again. The staff was friendly, but that didn't make up for the less than adequate experience. Paid $20 for 2 piece fish and chips with a drink. The portion size was okay and the fish was okay but half of it fell off of the plate. The gravy was substandard and they filled the drink with so much ice that I barely got 3 sips from my so-called large pop. The fries had no flavour. The building itself is small, a tight squeeze when you are ordering. There's a ramp but it's barely wheelchair accessible. If you're looking for an expensive snack, then come here. But personally I would not go back.

Lunch was tasty. Very good onion rings! The only complaint I would have is that the plates are way too small. A bit bigger than a saucer sized plate.French fries were falling off onto the unclean table.

Hutch's is a place I go to once or twice a year which is perfect. I don't think I have ever been there when there is not a massive line up. This can be very frustrating especially as the line up is out the door and if the weather is bad or you are standing in the direct sun, it is not great. BUT there is a line up for a reason. It is a good place eat. The fish and chips is the thing to order for sure and the portions are generous. The décor is pretty basic - (kind of reminds me of a parks and rec skating change room - lots of cinder blocks). They try with photos and an original juke box but hey, what can you do with cinder blocks! Really though if you get a seat by the window you are golden because you can look at the lake and the people on the board walk as they go by.Ice cream is also great - there is a different place to order that so make sure you are in the right line! Also, you will NOT beat the location - right on the lake. Perfect. Outside seating/tables are available but again because of the crowds it can be challenging getting one but we always have found a place to sit.
