Joya Sushi - Hamilton

Joya Sushi has the best sushi, Korean dishes and teriyaki meals. Their food is absolutely delicious. Their meals are the perfect size at a very fair price. The couple who own and run the restaurant are wonderful people. They deserve all the great success they have had with their restaurant.

Joya Sushi looks very run down from the outside (and realistically, the inside isn't that amazing either) BUT don't be fooled - the service and sushi are top notch. You can see right into the kitchen where they are making all the sushi, and they are at work non-stop!I typically go there for lunch so I will review the lunch special - it is excellent! There is a lot of food for a great price (less than $10). It comes with miso soup, salad, and rice as well as the main course (Tues = sushi combo, Wed = salmon teriyaki, Thurs = tempura, and Fri = beef teriyaki). You can also do take out of this lunch menu. Joya is a great place to stop by if you are looking for some great sushi. (Check hours first as they are odd).

I have been here about a dozen times and I am always happy with the lunch meal I get. They have specials every day at lunch. Sushi is very good. The salads they offer are good. A little pricy but the quality is good.

I was looking for a well lit place to have a late lunch/early supper and read my book. I live close by but have never been in Joya before.Right away there is complimentary green tea :) The restaurant was nice and warm even though I was seated near the front window-wall that lifts up in the summertime. Service was swift with a smile, food was good quality - I will likely return :) There is a 2nd floor where they take reservations for private parties.My two wishes are that there would be bento boxes on the menu, and wild not farmed salmon.

Really like this restaurant! After being in Japan for 3 weeks, when i came back, all I wanted to do was to eat Japanese food!
