Wagon Grill - Hamilton

This hidden neighbourhood gem is just that a gem. The chicken rice combo is so satisfying and filling, its hands down a fantastic meal and are sure to have leftovers. My family ordered this chicken rice and salad and pop combo for 10 each. Not only were we completely full and so amazed buy how tasty it was, we also had lunch the next day. Well worth it and I highly recommend.

To preface, both the owner and his wife were wonderful. Very polite. The food was also the most inexpensive Shawarma I've come across before, however the chicken was positively abhorrent. Tasted like turkey from a can, one of us 4 couldn't eat even a bite of it. The falafel and the rice were quite good though. So perhaps I'll be back to try the steak, but the chicken is seriously lacking. Plus, romaine lettuce isn't a very good choice for a wrap as mine was mostly ends and was crunchy and unenjoyable. 1 star for the chicken Shawarma, 4 stars for the falafel and the rice. Also, the white sauce was very salty, which was off-putting but is ultimately down to preference.

Wagon Grill has been my list of restaurants to try for a while. I'm glad we made it, finally, yesterday. Overall a great experience. The staff member was very friendly and welcoming even though very busy. Our order was prepared quickly and accurately. The chicken rice combo is an amazing deal. The portions are so generous that it was two meals for each of us. The chicken dish is so flavourful and spicy. We'll be back to try more of the menu soon!

I've driven past this place for a year or 2 but never actually stopped for food. I decided to give this a try today. Order through Uber Eats. Good Chicken Poutine. Food arrived fresh and hot. For the value of this place, I highly recommend it.

Very good falafel, and they also make tornado potatoes! This is a cozy spot in Hamilton that makes excellent and affordable meals. The owner/cook is also super friendly! Grab a quick bite if it's late in the night!
