West Town Bar & Grill - Hamilton

Went for dinner , service was good but the food was lousy! Mussels were few and sauce tomatoes sauce from a can, the beef dip they forgot or seemed like they forgot the beef!! Washrooms disgusting !

My wife and I stopped by on Locke Street for a quick bite to eat. We weren't in the mood for anything in particular so we decided to try the West Town Bar. It looks like it is split into two parts, one side bar and one side dining area. We chose the bar area mainly because we saw people on that side. We seated ourselves in a nice cozy booth across from the bar. It's a typical bar / pub with pictures all over the walls, tv sets and some cool bar like items hanging from the ceiling. Our waitress was fast and efficient. The menu surprised us. We figured it would have the same old bar menu items. But it had different types of food to choose from. Such as Beef Stroganoff, Chicken Parmesan, Jambalaya, and some other pasta meals. We were expecting more Burgers and Sandwiches. My wife had the Rustic Pizza and I had the Philly Steak Sandwich. Both were really good. I can't really say one bad thing about the place. You could tell they served a lot of regulars but I guess that happens when you have been in business for 25 years.

This is a bar.... carpets walls and all is just filthy dirty. Walk down the street and enjoy a cleaner location with better food

The West Town has been around since I was a kid and literally nothing has changed! It's the neighbourhood hangout and greasy spoon breakfast place. Great nachos and burgers, beautiful wait staff, friendly regulars. Many pints on tap and always cranking the oldies music. Lots of tvs and sports on

We went for lunch and i asked the server if they had Heinz ketchup. She said yes but it came in a French's bottle She even said they were refilled from a Heinz can which she said she would show me I declined believing her story Two days later we return and i said to my co-worker that i was going to find out about the ketchup. This time i asked a different server if they had Heinz and she said no they only have French's You can fool some of the people some of the time but not all of the people all of the time.Good try girls.The poor tip the second girl recieved can be blamed on the first one lying Are they that desperate for customers that they have to lie to you so you won't leaveAdd to all this was the slow service both days even tho the place was mostly empty
