B J Seafood - Hammond

If you're looking for fresh shrimp don't go here. I just moved to the area from the river parishes. Paid 15$ for a pound and a half of medium sized unpeeled shrimp. Also as far as boiled crab goes you can pay 24$ a dozen at millers mart and get a half dozen for FREE. Stick to the folks on the side of the road. I bought them because I was in a rush but defnitley not a place to go for fresh shrimp. Overpriced when you can just get it from the shrimp man or even rouses. Just some advice on saving money god bless

I wouldn't hear it about 5:40 something and I wanted to get food there was a line going towards the register when I arrived. I was ask by the by the waitress if I wanted to eat in and I said yes and she says well couldn't eat in now so what can I get an order to go she said no that the kitchen was closed. There was a fairly large line.

By far one of the best places to get seafood in the Hammond area, they have everything from fresh shrimp and crabs to alligator meat!! Prices are fair and service is great!! Can get a bit crowded, but that just shows the quality here

I ordered a dozen cooked blue crabs and a few pounds of boiled shrimp with potatoes. My wife enjoyed the crabs, and I enjoyed the shrimp. They were seasoned well and had great flavor.

Got boiled crabs , boiled shrimp and all the trimmings. The crabs were perfect and delicious. The shrimp had good flavor but they were really dry and hard to peal. Seems they boiled too long and took them out of the water to sit too long. Other than that everything else was great!
