El Jimador - Hammond

Definitely the best Mexican food in So. Louisiana. Better than anything in BR. We go there often even though it's a little bit of a drive for us. Highly recommended!! Can't beat the prices and the service.

The lunch specials are outstanding, even on weekends, and the service is top-notch. I had a nice chat in Spanish, but they spoke English perfectly as well. They also offer complimentary chips and salsa. If your partner is in a bad mood from being hungry, this is the perfect place to bring them!

I can honestly say that the wait staff here is the nicest I've ever encountered. Additionally, this place offers fantastic value at an unbeatable price! The quesadilla was packed with flavor and loaded with meat. Overall, it was a wonderful experience! I'm visiting from Houston with my daughter, and we chose to meet some family here. I'm so glad we came today!

My family and I were traveling to Mississippi on Interstate 55 and decided to stop for lunch at El Jimador after finding it during our Google search for Mexican cuisine. It was our first time at this restaurant, and I have to say, our waiter was incredibly nice and very friendly. I ordered the fajitas, and they were seasoned to perfection—honestly, the best I've ever had at a restaurant. The rest of my family also enjoyed their meals. Before we left, the waiter kindly asked if we wanted any drinks to go, which showed great attention to customer service. We'll definitely make this a regular stop whenever we pass through Hammond.
