Not for nothing but I've visited several shipleys, often in some shady sides of town, but never have I ever gotten consistently bad kolaches until I moved here and visited this shipleys. I tried to give it the benefit of doubt and tried again. Nope, I belive this will be my last time.
Excellent service! Received everything quickly with a kind
This Shipleys is indeed price gouging …. Paid nearly double what I always get from literally any other Shipleys I’ve been to … won’t go
They had made a huge mistake but corrected it without any fuss. Hence 4 stars. But quality wise, the donuts just donot seem as good as they were a few years back. The kolaches are more dough than filling. A skinny hot dog that has zero sausage taste or texture, with a tiny bit of cheese that is melted into the bread it practically disappears. Using frozen cheese should mitigate this. The ratio of bread to filling is 2 or 3 to one.The bread is pillowy soft when fresh, and easily swallowed. The crew has always been cheerfully friendly, quick and happy as of they really like their jobs. They are a hometown staple.
Shipley's is byfar is my absolute favorite but I'm sharing my experience at the store located at 706 Magnolia Blvd. in Magnolia. A 16 Oz. Milk cost a whopping $3.25!! One single plain glazed $1.45. I price compared with Shipley's in Tomball. Their prices are $2.19 Milk and $1.24 Donut. Today is my first and LAST time I ever step foot at the 706 Magnolia Blvd. location. I understand small business is striving to make a buck but this location is gouging its customers.
