The space is spacious, and the windows were open, letting in the refreshing autumn air. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. The smoothies are genuinely good, which I find is often hard to come by at coffee shops. The coffee quality was also impressive. They offer both breakfast and lunch menus. If you have children, there are toy fire trucks available for them to play with. The music isn’t too loud, making it a great environment for working, like I was. Plus, it’s located in a charming, walkable area.
What a fantastic atmosphere! We were just passing through the area and decided to stop by after reading some reviews, and we're so glad we ventured onto the island to check out this firehouse coffee shop. The ambiance was wonderful. We tried their specialty drinks: the lavender vanilla latte and an iced white chocolate mocha, both of which were excellent. It wasn't crowded at all, and the staff was incredibly welcoming. I also appreciated that they offered both indoor and outdoor seating, and the decor really tied in with the firehouse theme.
This charming coffee shop is uniquely situated in a historic Army firehouse at the southwest corner of Fort Monroe. It offers both indoor and outdoor seating, creating a cozy and relaxed atmosphere that's enhanced by the friendly staff. The menu features a delightful array of old-fashioned ice cream, sandwiches, baked goods, sodas, and both hot and cold coffee and tea options. It's a kid-friendly spot with comfortable couches for playing games as well as tables by the window for studying or reading. It's the perfect place to cool off in the air conditioning, enjoy a refreshing drink, and appreciate the beauty of the historic building.
Great iced chai latte and pleasant breakfast sandwiches. I will say I was pretty disappointed because they lost our ticket and we had to wait over 30 minutes while people were getting served that came in after us. Not to mention they forgot the oat milk my boyfriend asked for. Cute place but a little unorganized.
Super sweet people working at this adorable coffee shop. Not many people there on a lonely Thursday afternoon. They have fun fireman things, chess, and other toys for kids to play with. I ordered a dirty chai, and it was great. Kids got hot chocolate, and they said it was good. We got a bag of coffee beans, and we are excited to try the Chesapeake Bay blend!
