Smitty's Better Burger - Hampton

I’m sorry to hear that some people have had negative experiences, but honestly, don’t we all have a bad experience at least once wherever we go? Smitty's serves the BEST BETTER BURGER and crinkle fries around. I only wish they would open a location here in Richmond! Keep it up, Smitty's; you’re doing an excellent job! If you find yourself in Hampton or are moving there, definitely check them out—I don’t think you’ll be disappointed!

Delicious food! I went based on a recommendation, and I’m so glad I did. The food was fantastic, and the service was fast and efficient, reminiscent of Danny's Hot Dogs in Norfolk. Definitely give it a try!

I ordered a Smitty's Super Burger with crinkle-cut fries (they also offer waffle fries), along with a Diet Coke. My food was delivered to my car in about five minutes. I paid $8.19 for lunch and added a little tip for my car hop, which was well worth it. The burger was hot, juicy, and bursting with flavor. If they use frozen patties, you'd never know—it was seasoned perfectly and expertly cooked on a flat top. The bun was soft and held up beautifully against all the juices and condiments, while the toppings were fresh and crisp—great pickles too! The fries were hot, salted, and delicious; crinkle cuts are hard to beat when fried right, frozen or not. My Diet Coke was icy with the perfect syrup-to-soda ratio. I posted some pictures above. After finishing my meal, I turned on my lights, and my car hop promptly came over to take my tray, thanking me for my visit. What a fantastic experience! Cheap Eats. Smitty's is a local icon not too far from LAFB known really because the food prices have remained low for years. Most items fall in between $2-$6 with an assortment of deep fried and grilled treats. It's drive up fast food where the wait staff come out to your car side. It's not the greatest fast food, but everything is unhealthily satisfying. And yes their burgers are better than some of the more popular chains.

Satisfying people since 1956. Smitty's has been around since 1956, and it is still here because everyone loves it. They have an awesome drive in menu with a wide variety so you can't go wrong. <br/ <br/ When you pull up, turn on your headlights when you need assistance and the car hops will come over and take your order or get you something. It is customary to tip the car hops.
