University Cafe - Hampton

I went to the university cafe expecting chaos, but the restaurant was excellent. Shrimp thrown out of the kitchen were fried perfectly. A waiter in a sharp suit placed a napkin on my lap. I sat next to two older men who joked about each dish served to them. "It's not too bad," one said. "No, it's terrible!" the other replied, laughing. The kitchen was loud and chaotic, adding to the owner's mystique. Our chef, known for his antics, threw a fish across the room. The university cafe offers a fixed menu each night with a variety of dishes. On the evening I visited, there was chicken, pork chops, and a special item only described as a picture of the chef in a lobster pot. The decor was elegant and set the stage for a unique dining experience. Overall, the food was excellent and the atmosphere was charming.
