The Curry Grove - Hampton Park

This used to be one of my favorite places for Sri Lankan food, but my recent experience has left me disappointed. I tried to place an order for a few curries two weeks in advance and was told it was too early. Three days before my planned dinner, I called to confirm my order. However, when I arrived to pick it up on the day of the dinner, they had completely forgotten about my order and didn’t offer any apologies. I ended up having to buy a curry on the spot, and even though they had plenty available, I was not offered any discount for the mistake. It was frustrating to have to rush to prepare for my guests. Overall, I’m unhappy with the service!

My friends and I absolutely love this place! We can't get enough of it. The staff is friendly, and the lunch and dinner options are affordable. We especially enjoy the sweet and rice packs, as well as the meat cures.

I absolutely love Sri Lankan cuisine and have enjoyed it many times over the years, but today I was truly blown away. The curries and rice were fantastic, but the daal was definitely the standout dish. A bonus is that it's locally sourced!

After reading all your positive post I went down and bought me lamb curry so exciting I thought, but just to be disappointed with only a little bit of lamb and the rest just rice on the bench ready to be thrown out. Not going back
