Pili Au Food Farm Tour - HANALEI

This little gem offers the best Kalua pork we tried in Kauai. The dish is served with traditional Hawaiian sides like poi, taro macaroni salad, lomi lomi salmon, and a taro dessert, along with rice. We also loved the homemade ginger soda during our lunch. The restaurant has picnic tables available for dining and is located just past the Hanalei River. It is clean, the staff is friendly, and it has a local charm.

We tried the kahlua pork wrapped in taro leaves and it was absolutely delicious. The plate came with a choice of poi or rice, macaroni salad, salmon salad, and taro cake for dessert. The food truck is located in Hanalei and has a small terrace for dining. The service was quick and the food was fresh, hot, and flavorful. We definitely plan on returning.

If you plan on dining at this restaurant, it is best to go early as they often sell out of popular dishes. The kuolo dish is delicious, and the taro mochi cake is decent. The kalua pig is okay, but a bit tangy for my taste. The Taro rolls were unimpressive, and I found the prices to be too high for the quality of the food. Overall, the restaurant offers average dishes at slightly inflated prices.

Plan on the cute hanalei taro juice food truck around midday when they explore hanalei. the gays are immense. my order was enough for two, but I didn't split. the ginger limonade had a great kick very delicious! there are picnic tables under a shaded dach. fun to watch the cocks roaming around.

Great unique food and excellent friendly staff. A must stop for a snack whilst you are visiting hanalei.
