The location of the restaurant is wrong on your Hanoi map. It shows on Van Mieu where the temple of literature is Hoan Kiem. In addition to the Ethnology Museum, Cau Giaiy is a different area. Not sure why it was accepted on Happy Cow. As the poster of this place has indicated, it has food with milk, eggs, etc. Sure not Vegan not Happy Cow! 16. October I visited this place for lunch. Of the 50 strange 'carni' dishes there was one side of 6 'vegan' dishes. I had Nem Cuon Chay (5 raw spring rolls) 65,000d, Sauteed noodles with mixed vegetables 75,000d, fresh mixed vegetables 55,000d. Service was good and food was also good. This restaurant is a fascinating place to visit next to the Hanoi Museum of Ethnology. It is not a dedicated vegetarian restaurant, but it offers a full page of vegan options including crispy tofu with peanut sauce and noodles; Veg Tofu spring rolls with noodles; Veg rice; Veg noodles; and filled eggplants. I went for the filled Aubergine 75vnd) and was really impressed. The filling was very tasteful, she reminded me of Moussaka. I could recognize soya protein, garlic, herbs and sesame. The eggplant was cooked for perfection, silky and without bitterness; perfectly complemented by the brown fresh tomato sauce and steamed rice.
