Big Mikes Crabhouse Grill - Hanover

Awesome place for fresh seafood, everything was amazing.

Stopped in on a Saturday since I had time to kill. Needed to be just a few minutes away at 2pm, arrived at exactly 12pm. We waited at the sign that clearly said to Wait to be seated for quite a few minutes until finally someone came over and told us to sit wherever we wanted. Menus were on the tables. We waited quite a while for someone to finally come over and tell us the waitress would be right with us. This turned into yet another long wait. All the while, we are noticing one person after another walk in, get food, and leave. Finally the waitress arrived and I placed the food and drink order together. I got the Fish and fries off the specials board for $14, and the wife got the Crab Cake sandwich for $19. Again, we wait and wait while customers that came in and sat after us are served finish and leave. Finally at 1:45 our food shows up. My fried fish is beyond well done and borderline burnt. The wife 's Crabcake that only included a tiny serving of Cole slaw was more like Crab Imperial. It clearly cooked on the flat top. The bottom was a burned crust that was inedible, and then it was placed under a broiler to heat the top so that the middle was cold and uncooked. No time to complain, and once again, no waitresses to be found. I had to go ask the cashier for my check and a to go box. Clearly, they were more worried about their local walk-in Steamed Crab and call in carry out orders. I wouldn 't recommend this place to my worst enemy. Won 't be back. I 'm sure there are much better restaurants in the area.

Went in for a take out order. Saw an old menu online and asked for something that's no longer on their menu, but they made it for me anyway, all with a smile. That's the kind of service you always want!

Food was excellent, service was somewhat slow given the lack of customers and they didn't give me the drink I ordered (they didn't actually charge me for it so it isn't a huge deal to me) and the restaurant itself is a bit dated, but overall excellent quality food and very friendly staff.

If you're in the area, stop by for some delicious crabs!
