The cave affair is a fantastic place to visit when you come to Harare. The visitor center has an open fire bbq plus a bar and extremely rustic but modern, settings. Please try the local meat meal there. Take a walk from the visitor centre and go to the hill. At several places you can enjoy stone paintings, many still very visible. I have added some pictures to shiw, but coming to see such old art nearby is an unmistakable opportunity, and its only 10usd. Similar to Tanzania, Zimbabwe drives on the right road, left, and use British plugs. Almost everything is in English. I recommend the short walk from the visitor center to the cave paintings, you need to be able to go and negotiate a few slippery rocks.
Visit Simbabwe Day Trip to local early cultural heritage near Domboshova right in front of Harare, the cave drawings in an open but shaded cave section have said that about 2000 years ago have done. Wooow we've had artists. A medium-sized to annoying ascent, marked by the yellow arrow in the middle, the arrows separated but not left marked to the cave, right to the summit. To the left you see the cave then climb to the summit We went to sunset, but clouds reduced the overall spectacle. To the side and on the way down are 2 very large stones just sitting, balanced, waiting to fall Beautiful day from slightly cold 22C very windy Sewn August is the windy month with slightly cooler weather.
Cave Affair is a fantastic place. I always enjoyed it most of the time...
The mojito was classic and funny enough it's called a classic mojito. The food, though basic was well prepared and proper. We had a leisurely dinner with good music, in a perfect afrocentric environment. Honestly, I loved it!
I love the chilled calm environment. Their food and drinks are fairly priced I guess. I especially love their 'gango ' meal. If you want somewhere to chill chat and indulge in local cuisine after rock climbing the domboshava hills it 's very ideal. If you want to go the picnic side you pay an entry fee and you can bring in your own food and drinks and embark on their family activities. The restaurant side you do not pay entry fee . No outside food or drinks is allowed this side.
