The Hare Pie Cafe - Harborough

We found this little jewel of a place because my partner had booked us in a similar sounding pub he did not recognize was a 3 hour car away! So when I asked the name to put in the satnav, it naturally brought up the local pub this name. we came, gave our names and of course they had not our booking, we were not yet aware that we were in the wrong pub at this point, but the host could not have been more accommodating. they apologised for the error (our mistake! and found us a seat. the bar area was quite busy and so cozy it was quite loud, we decided to have only a few drinks instead of eating. we explained this to our host who immediately asked to come and see another table to see if it was better suited what it was. the whole pub is beautiful, but there are areas that are better to eat and more that are better to drink. After we moved friendly, our host brought us back the menus. my partner was confused as he is a naughty eater and was sure when he had booked, he had seen burger on the menu. at this point he went back online to see and the penny fell that we were at the wrong place, we told our host when she had returned and she could not have been nicer. (She seemed happy that she hadn't lost her marmore, as she took the bookings and really couldn't remember that we called the book after everything exhausting and hospitable my partner took the dive and ordered the lamb trio. I had the cortexer. our meals came out and they were amazing. I did not see my frills, pure eating, smokey eating partner, wasting a top of top-notch food that under normal circumstances he would not even try to order. if we had seen the actual menu before he would come, he would never have booked. but I am so glad that this presumption has happened, as we have found ourselves a new favorite place to eat. the best service, the most beautiful food I have ever eaten, a beautiful pub and the friendly, courteous host we have ever stumbled over each other. cannot recommend this place very enough (and not even me to the banana souffle and the trio of the chocolate puddings started. we will be coming back soon

Great place. very friendly staff and nice eating in a beautiful environment. good clean accommodation with small extras that make the stay even more pleasant. the breakfast was excellent in their caffe in front of location. very recommended.

An old friend and I went out to lunch and were not sure where to go. this place was chosen by a real recommendation. no internet involved! the renter was very friendly and attentive. I chose the classic ham, egg and chips £8.50, while my friend for the steak sandwich £9 l think both dishes were freshly prepared within 15 minutes. excellent local ham, tasty eggs and hand cut with skins. the steak sandwich was rarely served as desired and my friend commented 'better than I expected '. good price for good food. a rare combination. will definitely visit again.

My wife and I were on a walk when we passed on the bewicke arms. so it happened that they celebrated their one-year anniversary in the business, so we decided to stay for the celebration and then we decided to stay for the night. this is a charming pub with great beer, great eating, amazing rooms and a beautiful caffe to the breakfast with magnificent views of the surrounding landscape. the room was immaculately clean and very nicely decorated. the garden was filled with people who obviously enjoy themselves. the personal was endlessly accommodating and very pleasant. we will soon be using their hospitality for a longer stay and enjoy the many beautiful hiking and cycling trails in the environment.

Stopped off overnight, made to feel very welcome,staff friendly and helpful.Evening meal and breakfast was excellent.would recommend.
