Chick-king - Haringey

This is a fantastic chicken shop. We received a warm welcome from the moment we walked in until we left, with friendly service provided to all customers, whether they were regulars or newcomers. The chicken, chips, and sides were all of great quality and the prices were fantastic. I will definitely be returning whenever I have the chance.

After celebrating our victory against Sheffield United, we were in need of some food to soak up the beer. The line was busy as expected, but the service was surprisingly impressive. I ordered a two-piece chicken and chips, hot wings, a chicken breast, and a side of chili sauce, all for just over £8. Each piece of chicken was amazing - I was blown away by how well it was cooked. As a die-hard KFC fan, I have to admit that this was the best fried chicken I have ever tasted. I know this spot is popular with locals after the game, but I was genuinely surprised by how delicious the food was. I was delighted to finally have the chance to try this amazing place, as the long queues had kept me away before. COYS (Come On You Spurs)!

Extremely plain. I don't understand why this restaurant has so many 5-star reviews. The takeaway was clean and tidy, and the staff were friendly. However, the breading and spices were quite average when we went. The chips seemed to be mass-produced, yellow, and undercooked. I recommend going next door if you want high-quality chips.

Visiting the new Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for a tour with my son, we stopped off at the Chick King for lunch. After hearing good things for many years about the restaurant we were not disappointed. I wish I had persevered and joined the match day queues, if I'd had more time. You can see why they are busy because the food is so good. We were greeted warmly and made to feel welcome by the owners, and ordered 2 pieces of Chicken Breast, with chips each. The menu looked fantastic and so much choice! The fact you can choose breast as an option over thighs or drumsticks is a bonus. At £4.70 each it was excellent value for money. Our order arrived quickly and was packaged with such love and care, down to the the little sachet of salt, nearly tucked up into the napkin on top of the grease proof paper. The chicken itself was out of this world. I don't know what magic they put in their coating, but it blew all others I've tried out of the window. The chips perfectly cooked, and none of it was greasy. The portions were very generous and I was full to the brim. The only problem I have now is wanting more, but I live over 180 miles away. It's a good excuse to get to more games just to visit the lovely Chick King again. Thank you so much to the owners and staff. Keep doing what you do. I can't wait to come and visit again.
