Holbrook's Lobster Wharf Grille

How can you give them less than 4 stars? service was great, eating was very good and the intention was to die. the young ladies running the window were funny and very friendly. make sure to leave something extra in their drinking money. if I could, I'd be back in this week, but because I can't live in a country far away. the dampers and lobsters were only achsant.

Have been going to holbrooks for years. we own a hut on the hop island. we always go to holbrooks for lobster, the best! nothing like the boot. They are friendly and respectful. I know it as sidden. we have a great admiration of the place.

The crab roller was very good, but the lobster roller was averaged.

The food tasted like ranty oil. I couldn't taste the mushes. the day after that, my love feels terrible. we spent $54 on this meal

I love Holbrook's and have a meal there whenever I come to Maine. I regret that yesterday's fried clam dinner featured a heavy, unattractive batter and, removing the batter, virtually tasteless clams. Also regret to report having diarrhea all night long. I regularly dine in Essex MA. Several restaurants there offer the gold standard in fried clams. I recommend using a recipe similar to theirs rather that the heavy, overly crusty bear-batter one. Until then, I'll be ordering only hamburgers at Holbrook's.
