I was part of a local group of 11 arriving to enjoy the food truck fare. Unfortunately, we chose one of the “prime rib” nights— apparently booked up for two years. Also unfortunately, the restaurant does not publicly share this info on the website. Seating left for food truck patrons are a couple of picnic tables in the sun. I believe the new Carlin Bay owners have chosen to forgo the local crowds for the high-end visitors. prime Rib dinners are a 250 a piece) I was part of the local crowd a few years ago hearing about the great plans for the property— and was excited about the change. This company needs to rethink their values. If it’s high end visitors- make this a private institution. Or if you want to serve both groups- communicate which nights are for the local crowd.
The old marina is gone which is a bummer but they are working hard to build a new facility that will be awesome! We rent a slip here and could not be happier with the staff, service and environment.
It doesn't exist. Another historically great boating location has literally been removed. I hope that the supposed 2022 opening is for real. The lake has lost too many float up destinations.
The Lodge is not built. All structures have been demolished. There is no food or any service at Caring Bay.
