There was a bit of a wait in line, which was longer than expected, but not too bad. When we finally reached the front to order, they said it would be another 15 minutes for the food. We ordered chicken fingers with fries and a hotdog with poutine. While waiting, I decided to get a scoop of ice cream. I ordered it but the girl forgot to serve it to me. She skipped ahead to the next customers and disappeared in the back. When the food was ready, I asked if I could have the ice cream later, but she served it on the spot. I was frustrated as I couldn't eat both at the same time, so I chose the food first since I was hungry. The food was okay, but the dipping sauce for the chicken fingers was bad. The ice cream, which was Chapman's brand, was also disappointing. I had cookie dough and chocolate chip flavors, which are usually my favorites, but this time they weren't good at all. I ended up throwing it out after just two bites. Overall, I won't be returning to this restaurant. There are other places in the area that I would rather try.
Unfortunately, there was an incident where a customer lost a hearing aid while removing a name tag. Cathi and her husband went above and beyond to help find the lost hearing aid, even searching under parked cars. After more than an hour of searching, they were able to locate the hearing aid and return it to the customer. The next day, we returned to the restaurant and enjoyed another milkshake, which tasted even better than before. Cathi refused to accept a finder's fee for her help, instead choosing to use the money to help someone in need in the future. This kind of exceptional customer service, along with Cathi's enduring smile, truly made our experience memorable.
