Orchid At The Studley - Harrogate

Outstanding.. My wife and I are going to Japan next year and were talking about all things food when I remembered the Orchid is the place to go for authentic Asian cuisine. I booked and kept it a surprise. We went for dinner on Sunday and chose the taster menu, which gives 3 starters, a side, and a dessert of ice cream or sorbet. OMG! you'd expect the taster starter to be a small version, it may have been as we've never been before, but I can tell you the portions are enough to share, which we did. My wife ordered 3 starters, a side of Phad Thai, and coconut ice cream which was to die for. I ordered three different starters, a side of Singapore Noodles, and also the coconut ice cream. So we had six different starters that were enough to share, two different sides, again more than enough to share, and the same ice cream. I'm not one for reviews generally, although, like you, I do read them and form my own opinion with a pinch of salt. So having had an amazing experience, absolutely fabulous tasty gorgeous food, and wonderful, polite, and professional staff, then I had to write a review, to tell you about our experience at The Orchid. So now, you only have to go there yourself and think about this review. You will not be disappointed, well I hope not anyway, although I appreciate we all have different standards and expectations. Our first visit to the Orchid Restraunt, really impressed Amazing food, tasty and hot, the best restaurant we have visited in Harrogate, staff very friendly and efficient, can’t wait to return, Highly recommend

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal at The Orchid, The food was delicious and the portions generous. The service was impeccable and friendly. Dishes to recommend include the gambas prawn tempura , sambal seafood and pork tonkatsu. To finish off the meal we had the small egg custard pastries, a speciality of Macau and Hong Kong. My Singapore Sling was just right. Great atmosphere. To be recommended.

Very enjoyable experience food and service top notch lots of choice you will not be disappointed why trip advisor requires 100 characters to describe a review is beyond belief if a restaurant its good then it is good.

One of the best restaurants in Harrogate with a great Asian menu. Friendly and attentative staff in a lovely atmosphere. You DO need to book well in advance, especially during the conference season. All the food was outstanding, especially the Beef Steak Tagalog
