The Barn - Harrogate

This hidden gem in the Galphay and Winksley area is a must-visit. The restaurant is open when others are closed, and the food and service are excellent. Despite its location on a campsite, it should promote itself more as a pub with fantastic dining options.

Lovely service, friendly and helpful. Food was very nice although second visit over the weekend wasn’t as good as the first. Have visited here over the years and the menu has got more simplified than in previous years. However still enjoy it

I want to give a big shoutout to everyone at The Barn. My family and I visited on a busy day, but the staff, all lovely ladies, went above and beyond to accommodate us. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was charming. Thank you to everyone at The Barn. We returned the next day for a roast dinner, which was another hit (thanks to the chef). I highly recommend this place.

Visited the barn on a very very wet Sunday with members of a ww2 reenactment group following a photo shoot in the local area. As soon as we arrived we were made to feel nothing but welcome by Carrie, she may be small in size but is mighty with her cheerfulness, her service and is a fantastic asset to the venue. The various members of my party had meals and everyone agreed they were top notch. If your in the area don’t hesitate to eat/drink at the barn, your trip will be worth it.

We have visited this restaurant before while camping, and in the past, the food was excellent. However, our experience today did not live up to our previous visits. The portion sizes for all of our three meals were significantly smaller. When I ordered the steak and ale pie, I expected a traditional pie, but instead, it was served as a stew in a bowl with a puff pastry on top. While this may be common in the industry, it is not what I consider a proper pie. We mentioned this to the young waitress, hoping for a discussion, but they only came to collect payment.
