The Old Friend - Harrogate

The meat was absolutely disgusting. It has put me off meat for life. I’m never usually one to comment a lot of poor quality of food as I appreciate business require good feedback for company growth and profitability, but I had to express the vile take away I have just received. I’m sorry, please get new meat suppliers and possible chef.

We ordered through just eat so cannot comment on the premises but the food was delicious. 10/10 for the very tasty meals sides. Only thing that let it down was it took 1hr 30mins to arrive despite Just Eat saying 1hour. We did call to ask where our order was and the person on the phone was very kind and helpful in telling us it was given to the driver and would be arriving very soon but it was busy as it is Chinese New Year. Would definitely recommend the food and would order over the phone and collect in person for a better experience. Added in some vegetable spring rolls and a bottle of Diet Coke for free! Thank you!

I have had decent takeaways from here in the past. Was passing by today and decided to go again. PLEASE everyone, be warned. Arriving home, the order was found to be not as placed.....one dish missing, two items different to what had been ordered. Quality ....almost inedible so it all went in bin. No excuse as no-one entered the shop or phoned in an order after we entered, so no question of a 'mix-up. ' I should have made a better judgement call after noticing the filthy state of the floor and counter as I sat and waited. They shoud be ashamed. And close down. There are lots of genuine businesses struggling out there and trying their best to survive difficult times so I hate to criticise, but this was really really really awful.

Probably one of the worst takeaways we have had!! The Thai red and green curry were so sweet and watery they were inedible!! The spring rolls were tough and the squid was chewy and tasted old. Rang to complain and got absolutely nowhere… they tried to say that we had left of too long since placing the order to complain. Will never order from here again.

The crispy shredded beef in OK sauce was one of the best I have tasted. The meals for both of us were very tasty and decent portion sizes. It was so good we went back 3 days later and had the same again!
