Perhaps we made poor menu selections, but the vegetable dishes were mushy like baby food and the dosas were overly greasy and lacking crispiness. The service was inconsistent, with the waitress making an effort while the two servers seemed uninterested and distant. There are many excellent Indian restaurants in the Harrow area, but unfortunately, this is not one of them.
We had a fabulous dinner for seven at a quiet restaurant on a Thursday night. We enjoyed vegan thalis, dosas, and a few curries, all of which were delicious and served in generous portions. The menu offered a huge variety of vegetarian options, with plenty of vegan choices as well. The only downside was the wine selection. The service was good, although a bit rushed. Overall, the food and drinks were very reasonably priced.
We hosted a family lunch at this restaurant last Sunday in October for the second year in a row, and we highly recommend it for anyone looking to host a family function. All the staff were fantastic and very attentive. The food was delicious and accommodated all our needs, including those of children, vegans, and those with dietary restrictions. We highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be returning. The manager, Jagdish, was very calm and accommodating throughout the entire process, from booking to planning, and everything went smoothly on the day of the event.
Sagar is situated just a few doors away from North Harrow Tube Station. We visited early afternoon midweek so was very quiet inside. Simple decor with sectioned booths down one side of the long seating area with some small tables for 2 next to them. The other side is lined by tables with a continuous banquette against the wall with chairs facing. In all , seating for about 70 , I guess. Pleasant Indian music in the background. The food on offer is all vegan/vegetarian from Southern India mainly although a few exceptions such as some Chowpatty snacks which you would find on the famous beach of that name in Mumbai one or two dishes found in virtually all Indian restaurants such as aloo gobi. All the usual starters : idli , vada etc, good selection of dosas uthappams some thalis. Thought the food was delicious , lovely crisp dosa , equally crisp on the outside vada. Possibly the idlis were not top rank but overall we thoroughly enjoyed our visit will certainly be back. Very good service by pleasant waiter. Water not provided maybe that should be. Nice clean toilets /washrooms. Great value.
Took my wife and children to this MEGA! Vegans will find so so so much to enjoy. If they don't, it's because they are dead! Bring your business contacts too. My clients were there and opion. Also three wishes pub has options for after dinner.
