Our family visited Al Fresco if we happen to be in the area (we live in MA) or made the trip for special occasions. It is always clean and surprisingly not busy even on weekends. The service is friendly (last night we helped by Dorothy, the friendly conversation offered) and our whole food was fresh, hot and large portions. I am not sure why some other critics had bad experiences or thought that the price/value for the selection or the food was bad, but we never had a bad experience here in recent years. Al Fresco remains our favourite Italian family-style restaurant to enjoy a handful of times a year.
My family and I had a wonderful 75. Pizza party and OMG could not have been satisfied anymore. Food was great and the service was great. Wings were great! I made a great choice for 75. Nice to meet you.
Service was very slow. The waitress had a flat, disinterested personality and didn't really seem to care how long we waited. She forgot to bring my daughter's salad. The french fries were barely cooked and disgusting. I used to really like this restaurant but it seems to have gone down hill.
Absolutely disgusted with this place! We came here after my nana's funeral because she loved this restaurant{before the new ownership} we walked in at about 11:20am on a Friday for pizzas beers, about 12-14 of us, they wouldn't let us order pizzas off the menus they gave us, or any pitchers of beer, they wanted us to pay $13 a person off their catering menu, which included a beverage (soda) and a salad. Nobody actually wanted a salad to begin with, and Mind you we had a baby and 2 other children under 10 years old. We said no thank you we just want to order 4 or 5 large pizzas, and our own beverages. The owner could not comprehend this, he insisted on the catering menu and dropped the price to $12 a person. I tried to explain to him that nobody wants a salad and we want to order our own beverages. He would not let us do this. Mind you, a large cheese pizza here is $14. So we all left and went to Margheritas which we should have done to begin with. We walked In Margheritas and they welcomed us with their arms wide open. This is just 1 small example why these chain restaurants do so well!
