Highly recommend when you're in the neighborhood. All the food was delicious, the drinks were delicious, the live music was a nice touch to the atmosphere, and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Great vibes all around!
Came here on a Sunday evening with my family and we were very surprised by the service and quality of food. Elna was an amazing server who was patient and provided delicious recommendations. My kids really enjoyed their meals off the kids menu (ribs, buttered noodles, chicken tenders and the chocolate milk! We also enjoyed and highly recommend the mac and cheese bites (a bit spicy , catfish tenders (the best! , fried pickles w/ okra, jambalaya and the cornbread w/ honey butter. The shrimp and grits were one of the best I've have as the shrimp was well cooked/seasoned with scallions, bacon and sausage. My partner had the catfish w/ collard greens which was also delicious. Look forward to our next visit!
Extremely slow service. Two hours from start to finish. Server got our drink order wrong and food order wrong. And never brought cornbread which comes with the entrees. Black Eyed Sally's has been going down hill for years. Have to stop going :
Gospel brunch wasn't what we hoped for... we will rethink it next Mother's Day. The brunch set up was disorganized and the options for desert were disappointing The music was alright, the performer was doing too much. If people don't want to engage they shouldn't have to.
GREAT tasteful food! Altho some of it cold: . Inexplicably, band was 10x louder than they should have been. People were eating and music unbearably stomach churning loud. Some shrieking Dessert practically non-existent. Service pleasant but very very slow.
