With 3 dozen cookies 2 dozen Canollies! A $163.00, cookies fantastic and wrapped professional dont really thik them actually baked and wrapped the cookies I have worked in the retail for 30yrs and this type of cookies seen b4!!! The cannulas were empty at the ends! I usually buy at mottas in Columbia for 15 minutes and always fresh there and the quality excellent! Tireds to say Mottas is the place to go Mozzicatos went down hill! Very disappointing!!! You don't even deserve a star! I took a photo, but it doesn't seem to add! Smh!
Nothing more to say, but-THE BEST Italian pastries!
We've been researching something and stopped here in hardford. we needed cannolis and some cookies for my daughter confirmation party. the second I came in brought me back to be six years old and go to an Italian bakery. it smells and looked exactly the same. the staff was very helpful and knowledgeable. it was very clean inside. many different cakes, cookies, Italian specialties, etc to try. besides cannolis and cookies we have ordered some other dinge. the pizza was better than expected. when they get cannolis, they expect to wait a few minutes. they take their order and then fill them as they wait. it is destined to wait. I didn't expect that, but these are the best cannolis I've ever had. they use a ricotta cream that makes a difference in the definition. the chocolate was also very good. they can also add cherry, chocolate chips or pistachios to the end of them. I'll come back in definitiw when I'm back in Hartford.
Good for a gift, party favor, work pot luck, or family meeting. Call when you worry about the offer or need something special. Chocolate and vanilla cookies are my Fave! (Crunchy, crispy, thin and after chewing)
It's been a long, long time since I've been to Mozzicato's Pastry Bakery. This is probably the classiest store on all of Franklin Avenue. You don't even need to walk inside to experience it, just from the parking lot I could already smell the vanilla and other delicious goods baking. The inside is very clean, with some vintage posters on the walls. Every single person at Mozzicato's other then my friend and I, was an older gentleman. Maybe their wives are meeting their friends somewhere else. Even the owner and the man taking our order were older men. Maybe we interrupted a private gathering?!We got a cappuccino, a latte and a chocolate cannoli. Yes, a chocolate cannoli! This place is so authentically Italian, you can tell from a number of things. Mr. Mozzicato him self still has his Italian accent. The Italian pastries are made in house fresh. This has to be the best cannoli I've ever had. The filling is chocolate, and so rich and delicious, the crust is hard, yet flaky! I just love an authentic Italian chocolate cannoli. My latte was also creamy, with a good balance of coffee and milk, and so very tasty. Next door to the cafe, is their pastry shop. There are so many delicious cakes, cookies, candies, everything. This is the place to go if you're looking for a special occasion cake. Stop by Mozzicato's, for a sweet treat for yourself or as a gift!
