The Russell - Hartford

The location was great and the food was delicious. For an event in this place, I would choose because it turns into a place to dance after 11pm

We went out for dinner as couples on this night. A couple of issues with the drinks, but they were remedied. Lots of good food and it tasted really good (jerk wings, jerk calamari, brown stew red snapper)! Warm ambience with good music playing. Plans to revisit another day and time!

Plantains came out extremely hard, stew chicken was ok, rice was dry, didn’t have gravy and Rasta penne pasta was tasty missing peppers. Services was not satisfactory, server ignored us until it was time for us to pay the bill. They knew we were disappointed so then they kept checking on us. NO GOOD THE RUSSELL!!!!

Server was not checking on the table instead she was focus and worried about men at the bar had to try hard over and over to get her attention to order another drink and food. Will never recommend or go back here after my experience tonight. Waited atleast 20mins to get her attention after her flirting with men at the bar for her to come to the table when the tables place was closing zero stars if I can de to service

I've supported the Russell over the years and it's unfortunate I will no longer support this establishment. The last two times I have went the food was subpar. I recently went, ordered drinks and 5 minutes later our food was sent to our table, so clearly the food is already prepared and then to add insult to injury I got 5 small pieces of oxtail and the rice and peas and cabbage were cold. I guess I will go to a mom and pop Jamaican take out restaurant to get more (HOT) food for a lot less!
