Unfortunately, our first impression upon entering was not great. The display case was empty and there were no baked goods or treats on the shelves. Despite the young woman behind the counter greeting us, we made our way to the back sitting area. We noticed a large table of men dominating the cafe, and the floors were dirty. The layout of the tables was unappealing, but we sat down at a small table against a bright pink and purple wall. The young woman dropped menus on our table without offering us drinks and disappeared back to the counter. As we looked over the basic menu offerings, we were surprised to see the group of men had boxes of beer and were drinking at noon on a Saturday. Another family came in but left shortly after, and we also decided to leave without ordering any food. This review is not about the food itself, but about the cleanliness of the premises and lack of customer service. We were both disappointed with our experience and will not be returning to Honeycakes unless significant improvements are made.
The food is good and the prices are reasonable. The building could use some updating, but overall it's a good choice for tasty home-style meals.
Me and my friend Blake got putines and choclate milk and was very good. definetly gonna stop in another day.
Inquired from Travel Info for nice, quick place to eat and they were accurate. Was a short walk from the Travel Info site & Hartford bridge to a unique restaurant for a burger. The décor was seasonal and cute. The food was tasty and the staff friendly. Their baked goods is their specialty.
Stopped by on our way home to Alberta. Excellent food, large portions and very good price. Try the homemade fries, they are great. Will definitely come back again. Come see the covered bridge and stop at Honeycakes for lunch!
