The Ole Corral - Hartshorne

This is the best tea I've ever had! The staff is incredibly friendly, and the trip is definitely worth it—just a 24-mile drive for us. If you’re in search of a cozy mom-and-pop diner rather than a chain restaurant, this is the perfect spot for you. The menu changes daily, but they always have the favorites available. It's disheartening to see so many small businesses close; losing something as quintessentially American as this would be a real shame. (The death of Cho is delicious!)

After spending years in the military and being married for 51 years, we’ve dined in many places. We truly appreciate the warmth and service of what we affectionately call "Mom and Pop" diners. The food is always homemade and comforting, whether it’s breakfast, lunch, or the daily specials, including a delightful surprise on Sundays. The ride to this place is absolutely worth it. (And you can find our favorite local ice cream here too!) It’s a joy to hear "Good morning" as we walk in; our waitress already knows our drink preferences as we arrive. We love to support local businesses and truly appreciate the staff here!
