Outstanding Mexican food and great service! We had fajitas here before (once dining in, and carry out on a different occasion), and they were Really Good. Tonight we tried the chef's special: Quesabirra and consume a definite get again. I requested chicken tacos instead of the steak or goat tacos featured. Our server Pedro (also the manager) cheerfully agreed to make the switch, and also custom designed the consume to go with my tacos. From the first bite of deliciousness to the very last, my mouth was alive with flavors. The consume was also flavorful and perfectly seasoned. The made-for-us guacamole was great. (as were the fresh salsa and chips served at the beginning of our meal) I had doubts that 3 tacos would be enough food, but, it was a sizable dinner, and after all the guacamole and salsa, we were full. But when Pedro offered a flan that he made this morning...we said yes! It was delicious. La Cocina De Emma was named after Pedro's grandmother, and is our new go-to Mexican restaurant. Highly recommend both their dining in and carry out.
Third time we've eaten here. Today we had the special, Quesabirria. It was outstanding. This place is a hidden gem in McHenry County, well worth the drive.
