The tables covered in leather, the gigantic wine rack with a ladder where you can choose to your heart's content, Ineke's handmade cushions, the beautiful dishes, the wall decorations, you name it. Everything has been carefully thought out. But of course, you come here for the food. And it was certainly not lacking in quality. For starters, I had the foie gras terrine and I have rarely tasted foie gras so well made, simply heavenly. The terrine was served with a chocolate crumble and a delicious fruit chutney. Danny also surprised us with various small dishes, including a truffle and shrimp appetizer, foie gras ice cream, and a lemongrass soup. For the main course, I had a truffle-covered filet mignon, the meat simply melted in my mouth. We enjoyed an excellent Pinot Noir from Fernand Pilot with our meal. And then a white lady came and skillfully turned the ice cream from our machine into quenelles on our plates. At the bar, we savored a slow drip coffee paired with a Marc de Bandol. We lingered at the table with Danny and Ineke for a long time and they didn't mind at all. What a truly passionate couple. I will definitely be coming back here.

Today we visited De Griffie with the idea of a simple lunch, but we left with a richer culinary experience. We were warmly welcomed by the friendly and spontaneous hostess, and enjoyed the beautifully decorated atmosphere of the restaurant.
