The Net Shop Jellied Eel - Hastings

The seafood at the restaurant was delicious, but the two waitresses were very moody and unwelcoming. There was no greeting, no smiles, no eye contact, no thank you, and no goodbye. We will not be coming back with our tourist friends as this was quite embarrassing.

This restaurant in Hastings has the best seafood! I have tried all the seafood stands in the area over the past few years, and this one consistently has the freshest and most delicious seafood. There is never a fishy smell, and there is usually a line of people waiting to order. The prices are reasonable for the portion sizes. Although I haven't tried everything on the menu, I regularly enjoy the cockles, mussels, shell-on prawns, whelks, oysters, and crab sticks. I just wish they also offered winkles. I have recommended this place to my family and friends, and I always make a stop here when I visit Hastings.

The seafood at this restaurant is consistently excellent, I would highly recommend it. They are open every day as well.

Love this shop,been several times,always decent shell fish.it seems to taste better by the sea.If you get the chance stop by.you won’t be disappointed.

Myself and my wife had gone down to Hastings on a day out very good weather on the day, we ordered some different seafood all of which was very good indeed. We had cockles whelks jellyied eels and bought some crabmeat to take home in a cool bag as well as more whelks and sea food mix. All very tasty, the staff are friendly helpful and is kept clean unlike some other establishments. Was told once that they are only closed on one day a year,it being Xmas day don’t know if that’s true or not. Always popular. Good prices.
