Loud music, cold coffee and old bread makes a good breakfast bad. Presentation and choice of breakfast is ok. Service could be happier.
Amazing Christmas setup for welcoming from the little ones and melting the hearths of older ones. We ordered a classical chicken disn and everything was as expected, delicious. Friendly staff and prompt serving. Would definetely recommend the restaurant while visiting or passing through Hateg :
We did not manage to eat there, but we were very rudely welcome and asked if we had reservations. We didn't, there were empty tables. We have blunt answer: “There is no room.” And the waiter left the next second. That was all... Even if the food is good, the staff must learn how to treat customers in this situation.
Hateg is a town many travellers will pass through and some will stop for the Geo-park, Sarmizegetusa or to refuel on their way to the Retezat. This 'motel ' (better called a small hotel) is right in the centre and has a modern restaurant. The surroundings...were fine, if undistinguished, and the service 'serviceable '. The menu dwells on burgers and grills, though two of us had mamaliga with bacon and garlic-sauce which was tasty and very well presented. The size of the grills would suit a big appetite. For 3 main dishes, with some side-salads, and 5 drinks, we paid 150 RON. Certainly worth considering if you are in Hateg.
