Fox Hole - Hathersage

First Jonathan, Maddie and Amelia were fantastic and tended to our every need very quick and efficient service! Thorough recommendations about hot drinks and dessert choices. Second having a roaring fire nearby was a lovely experience after a wet day round ol' Padders! Thirdly my family all had the chicken leek creme sauce pie with mashed chips and veg huge portion and was beautiful. Brownie was thick and moist. Cheesecake was creamy. Hot chocolate was brimming. Huge thanks to the staff, will be back again!

Absolutely love the new look. The atmosphere was great and the service impeccable, the staff being really attentive and friendly. The new menu gives a lot of choice, I shared the Sticky Sharing Platter with my husband, it was delicious, it was a pity my husband didn't understand the concept of sharing though!!! The finger bowl was a nice touch just one, of many, small indications the pub has raised its game, and is aiming to impress the discerning diner. I had the steak fillet with a beef dripping sauce it was sublime, my mouth is watering thinking about it. My husband had the Carbonara pizza, he enjoyed it but is keen to try the steak next time. We really enjoyed our evening and can't wait to go back!

This is a very cozy restaurant with a great selection of delicious dishes at reasonable prices. Every time I visit, I feel at home. It's family-friendly, dog-friendly, and easily accessible for wheelchair users. It's the perfect spot to unwind after spending time in the Peak District.

I returned after a run during the marathon and didn't feel like cooking, so I randomly chose The Fox House for a meal. We received a warm welcome, and the service was impeccable with a friendly team. We will definitely be back. Great staff and fantastic food!

I love this rustic pub! I always feel welcome thanks to the attentive and knowledgeable staff. They have a fantastic selection of drinks, and the food is excellent—I've never had a bad meal or culinary experience here.
