My husband and I stopped here passing through Hatley. We entered at 4:50 and sat at the bar. We were given sodas and a menu. Twenty minutes later, we begged them behind the bar to find us a waitress (who had already taken every other person 's order in the whole place). She finally came out of the backroom and he talked tonwhr for a second and then she left again! After more time, I finally asked what our sodas cost and said we would eat elsewhere. When I explained we had been sitting there for over 20 minutes, he yelled at me that wasn 't possible since they didn 't open until 5. At this point, I was humiliated as everyone in the entire place was staring at us. I let him know I was not interested in fighting, I just wanted to leave. He told me the total and then loudly and VERY sarcastically said Make sure you have a Happy Thanksgiving. DO NOT RECOMMEND EATING HERE AND I WILL NEVER GO BACK!!! They only care if you know them!!!
First of all, I was told by the owner to give him a few minutes because he had to check on things. This made me like I was unwelcome. After I was seated, I waited 20 minutes before a waitress finally stopped and asked if I had a menu. I told her I had been waiting 20 minutes for one. While I was waiting for that menu, waitresses were completely ignoring me while they cleaned and set tables. Every restaurant I worked at insisted customers were the priority. This place must teach employees differently. After I placed my order, I waited again for a long time. Again, all the waitresses ignored me. I watched 3 tables that were served their food while I still waited. I ended up walking out. I will not be In a restaurant that treats me like a burden and not a paying customer.
I am so absolutely disappointed that I spent money here. We went out for a late Friday night dinner, and decided to try it out. For starters, the margaritas were $5 for just about the smallest serving size you 'll ever see. It took 20 minutes for us to be seated, yet the dining room was empty other than 1 table of 3 people. The free chips were stale, and the food was not good. The menu was extremely overpriced, $15 for a cheese quesadilla. It was obvious the staff was growing impatient with us, as they kept coming to the table to clear it while we were still eating, even taking the water pitcher, cups drinks away. We were basically kicked out of the dining room at 9:50. When paying for our food at the bar afterward, the bartender rudely asked if we were going to leave a tip. Considering the fact that we did not have a server for most of the night, I felt this was inappropriate, and I do not appreciate someone standing over my shoulder waiting for me to leave a tip. Would not go back again.
The food was excellent. The decor in the dining room was fantastic if you are a fan of Southwest decorating. The host and hostess were very gracious.
