La Mexicana Taqueria - Hattiesburg

Without a doubt, these are the best tacos in the area! I highly recommend visiting on Tuesdays when they’re only $1.50 each. They also serve the best rice and beans!

The 3 Taco platter with barbacoa was amazing. The barbacoa was absolutely delicious!

Then came the cherry ice cream, which was quite interesting, but we couldn’t figure out where the "Huracane" (yes, that’s how it was spelled) fit into the mix. Moving on to the tacos, which were advertised as chicken and shredded beef. However, we were left questioning what exactly the meat was; we definitely had our doubts about the chicken and beef claims. Finally, we were served chips and salsa, but to our surprise, they were not included with the meal and had to be purchased separately. We didn’t mind paying for them, but a little heads-up would have been helpful. Overall, if you go in without any expectations, you might be fine. Otherwise, be prepared for a few surprises!

Landed in the restaurant yesterday and had the worst Mexican food I ever had. No taste, terrible overboiled, poorest quality meat, chips were terrible. The service was good? Toilets were in terrible condition couldn't even wash my hands.

Best authentic Mexican food in Hattiesburg hands down! Love the street tacos I always get the al pastor and sometimes the barbacoa. I will say their service is not the best in the world but that's not why I come, I here for real tacos! I always order in person and sit at the bar and have a beer while I wait and the beer is always ice cold and refreshing.
