Seitenblick - Hattingen

I recently visited this restaurant with a group of friends for a special occasion whilst visiting Germany, wow what an awful welcome, the staff member was very miserable who took us to our table after waiting over 45minutes in an empty restaurant to be seated. We then waited a further 30minutes for waitress to take our drinks order, arrived at the table and only two drinks were what we asked for. The tables were all sticky with all chewing gum stuck to the sides of them (yuk) we all reluctantly ordered our meals as we were all very hungry, yet the same miserable waitress came over to take our order, after waiting an hour for starters to arrive we were bitterly disappointed with small portions/ tasteless and very little presentation. The rest of the meal was just average but on this basis our German friends will definitely not be visiting again!!!

Seitenblick offers fresh, organic, local food for all tastes. The wine list is very good, the menu selection has something for everyone, and the personnel was very friendly and knowledgeable. It is perhaps a little more expensive than one might pay for a regular night out, but as the food is all such good quality, as one says, you get what you pay for. As an American touring Germany, I've been hoping to try some delicious traditional food, and that is exactly what Seitenblick offered! It was a great meal, and I hope you enjoy yours!

Sehr schön an der Stiepeler Dorfkirche gelegenes Restaurant und Frühstückscafe!Wunderhübsch und mit viel Liebe eingerichtet. Ausgefallene Zubereitung und witzige Darreichung.Die Bedienung ist unauffällig höflich.Durch ein Gewitter sind wir in dieser Lokalität gestrandet, also zufällig. Und es war so auffällig, dass es nicht der letzte Besuch war!

Wir waren anlässlich der Konfirmation unserer Töchter mit 27 Gästen im Seitenblick. Bei der Vorbereitung und Zusammenstellung des Menues war das Personal ein guter und unkomplizierter Ratgeber. Aufgrund des widererwartend guten Wetters wurde der Begrüßungstrunk flexibel nach draußen verlegt.Die Location liegt wunderschön neben der Stiepeler Dorfkirche; das Restaurant bietet eine gediegene Gemütlichkeit.Alle Speisen waren sehr lecker und gut und appetitlich präsentiert.Schließlich gab es diesen tollen Tag zu einem guten Preis-Leistungsverhältnis!
