Lothes Mat Vinhus - Haugesund

It's been over a year since I had the pleasure of eating in Lothes Mat og Vinhus. Since then I have spent time learning more about every dish I was served (I took notes during my meal! . I am more impressed than I was at the time of my meal and I was totally impressed at that time! Every course of the meal was so carefully prepared. The flavors were wonderful. The chef was creative in his use of ingredients without any ingredient only for show. From the house made lamb prosciutto to the Tuscan style fish soup, baked cod over pure cauliflower (all with wonderful spices, and passion fruit cream with Norwegian style donut holes (smultring hull of each dish showed care and excellence in execution. The waitress was personal and professional. He worked seamlessly with those in the kitchen so that my food arrived perfectly, beautifully presented. The ambience of the place is also special. I felt that I could relax more than in most of the other Norwegian restaurants, as this was a little more gentlele. The table settings and decor are perfect for those who want an evening that is uplifted without pretentious. This is not a restaurant for people who are loud or have children who are not accustomed to the corresponding label, at least that is my opinion.

If you go to Haugesund and you don't take the time to visit this little charming restaurant, you can't really say that you have been in Haugesund. It has a fantastic atmosphere, a very friendly staff good coffee and a very nice view. This place is very recommended by me.
