While I was NOT a guest of the hostel room upstairs, my family was and I kicked her for dinner every night. The food is pretty good... we had chickens with rice; the other two nights, we had boiled fish with vegetables or potatoes. The salads were served with every dinner. Portions abundant. They also had Lyonnaise potatoes or Lyonnaise macaroni noodles; melted cheese was either crushed potatoes or noodles, and the creamy sauce was buttery and delicious. The bar serves cocktails and beer, and the prices (2.80 euros) for a beer was amazing! Meals are served in family style. It's not fancy Cordon bleu, it's good house style cookery. For Americans and English-speaking people: You speak French, so be ready. One person requested to prepare the food for special order, and they kept it. There is also a lot of land atmosphere here, as the nearby micro-ski resort is probably ideal for young families on a budget. Recommended. (If you like white-smooth waiters on elaborate tablecloths, etc., this is NOT the place. It is clean, good food... and it will satisfy the mainstream of people.
