Kaya’s is not much about the front, but a great value with great food. in the rear corner of a market along the kamehameha hwy on the left side, when going towards laie, kaya offers a small menu with a large stamp. this was one of those foundations that resulted from a search and the reviews were on the site. we ordered a loco moco, hamburger steak and a few butter mochi and musubi. for three of us, everyone who knows Hawaii food knows that this is likely enough to feed six. the food came out quickly and was great. we ate and ate and ate from these plates, where we could hardly walk after. the sitting area is outside an underwear and ensures a nice to sit and eat. service was super friendly. Oh, that was the first time we tried butter mochi and we are bound in any case! it sits in a small basket in register and is about 1.99 per piece if the memory serves me right and worth every penny!
Kaya's is not much as far as store front but a great value with great food. Tucked in the back corner of a market along the Kamehameha Hwy on the left if going towards Laie, Kaya's offers a small menu with a big punch. This was one of those finds that resulted from a search and the reviews were spot on. We ordered a Loco Moco, Hamburger steak and a couple of Butter Mochi and Musubi...for three of us. Anyone that knows Hawaiian food knows this is probably enough to feed six. The food came out quickly and was awesome. We ate and ate and ate off of those plates to where we could hardly walk afterwards. The seating area is outside under a shelter and makes for a nice area to sit and eat. Service was super friendly. Oh, this was out first time trying butter mochi and we are definitely hooked! It sits in a small basket at the register and is about 1.99 per piece if memory serves me correctly and worth every penny!
Seared ahi plate was soooo good. My eyes rolled back.
You pretty much have to go into the store to order food. Ordered loco moco. Pretty good but nothing special. Staffs were friendly. You have to purchase 5 bucks or more to use a credit card though.Angways loco moco tasted like loco moco lol also purchased buttered mochi which was pretty amazing! Def recommened this. Also you can eat outside where sitting areas are.
