Taste Of China - Havelock

The restaurant is good. Every place has its own unique way of doing things. Many people who move to Havelock are used to the higher costs and quality of cities like Boston, New York, California, or Florida. Just chill. The portions are good, the service is very friendly, and the quality is consistent. Is it my favorite restaurant of all time? No, but it is good enough to satisfy your appetite! If you weren't impressed the first time, give it another chance. Don't listen to those who say to avoid it - try it for yourself. Cheers, Havelock!

I ordered takeout from a Chinese restaurant and it was the worst food I have ever tasted in my life. I highly advise against going there. The food was flavorless, old, and unpleasant. The General Tso's chicken was particularly bad, tasting like it had been sitting out for a day. The fried rice had no flavor and did not even resemble fried rice. The soup was thick and unappetizing. It was a waste of money and I would rate it a 0 if I could, but I had to give it 1 star. I do not recommend this restaurant at all.

If I could give a rating of zero, I would. The food never tasted good! The portions were decent, but lacked flavor. The water we ordered tasted like it came from the city pump station. The service was good overall, but could benefit from offering seasonal dishes.

This is a very good place to eat. I have been a customer for a very long time. I've never been disappointed or dissatisfied with my order. When calling in an order, I prefer to actually say the name of the dish that I want instead of using the menu number codes attached to the dish. I once used a old menu that did not match the updated menu and I ordered the wrong combos. The combos that I received in error due to my old menu was very good as well. I also like to purchase food that may not be considered Chinese take-out such as French fries and chicken wings. I enjoy multiple items from their menu. If you ever do decide to order their delicious French fries, request that they do not staple the lid shut. Having the lid stapled shut causes the steam from the hot fries to create condensation on the lid and the fries get wet from the drips of water. They are not lacking in providing a good amount of quality food or sauces. I recommend this establishment for those that enjoy Chinese food and French fries. When you get sick from a cold, try their vegetable soup, egg drop soup, or wonton soup. Better yet, mix the egg drop and wonton soup together. It's just as good of a remedy than Campbells soup. Good Chinese food, alway hot and fresh. The house chop suey is very good and I always get the hot n sour soup.
