Sidebird Kitchen - Haverford Township

My husband and I stopped by here this week for his birthday dinner and it did not disappoint. The food was literally INCREDIBLE. We have been fans of Chef Brian Duffy for a long time and being able to see him in the kitchen and eat his food was awesome! We liked that it wasn’t a big formal restaurant and really enjoyed our experience! We weren’t aware Sidebird kitchen is inside Four Birds Distillery. It was nice to be able to get a summer alcohol flight to go with dinner :

Ordered takeout which included burgers, fried portobello sandwich, fish and chips and sticky bacon. The food was cooked well and was very delicious. The fries were amazing and everyone was picking at them like someone was going to steal them. I was hesitant to order from here after Chef Duffy’s stuffed burger gadget but I can let that slide.? Order here and you won’t be disappointed!

Read some excellent reviews and figured I'd try it on the way home from work tonight. Was not disappointed! I went simple and find that is the best way to first judge a spot and got a simple burger. They call it the start up, and it was a cheeseburger with LTO, a slice of american and a slice of cheddar (smart move, so they got the creaminess of the american and the sharp of the cheddar at the same time will definitely do that on my burgers from now on), with their SBK sauce, and a buttered bun. Really good burger. Great taste to the ground chuck, and really fresh tomatoes, and the buttered bun was good...firm enough to hold up to the burger and sauce and juicy tomatoes, but fresh and tasty. Side of coleslaw I asked for was fresh and zesty, clearly homemade fresh with a little kick and good amount of herbs to flavor it. Love a quality slaw and this definitely was as such. Will definitely be back and try the poutine (no one here does it right so i'm excited to try) and other things that look awesome on the menu to see if they can wow me now that I had a good quality burger to start things off. Looking forward to next visit! I'll chime back with updates when I try some interesting items here.

Amazing food and in house drinks. Even got to meet the man himself Chef Duffy. Brought us out other foods to try. Can't wait to go back. We all left in a food coma

The food was delicious and the portions were surprisingly large (we split and appetizer and each got a sandwich and couldn't finish it all! . The bar, being an offshoot of a distillery, is limited but their selection of cocktails is good. The staff is very welcoming and helpful, and it was overall a great experience. I'm personally not a huge fan of the online ordering system, but thats just a personal preference. Highly recommend.
